Why do we love our old games and what physiological effects do they have on us. With the industry taking advantage for our demand for nostalgia is it giving fresh life for classic titles of the past of harming the originality in contemporary gaming.
Documentary on retro games featuring Author Jamie Madigan and Retro Asylum host Dean Swain.
Produced by Sean Allsop
As part 2 of our 150th episode celebrations, the guys look at some of the early games produced by the legendary game development house Blizzard, or Silicon & Synapse as they were once known.
A few weeks ago we asked our listeners what games they would like us to review on the show. A list was made and we pulled 4 of those titles out of a hat.
So Matt Wilsher, Mads Kristensen & Dean Swain play and review P.C Fuzz for the Commodore 64, Turtles 2 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Apidya for the Commodore Amiga and finally Road Rash 2 on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis.
Will Dean get over his phobia of wasps whilst playing Apidya? Can Matt get his head around frame rate of Road Rash 2 and will Mads confess to recording podcasts whilst naked?
All is revealed in episode 148 of Retro Asylum!
